"The Case of the Missing Paragraph: Bad Wolf's Guide to Composition"

5 Song Samples Now Up!  Have a Listen! Plus the first third of the script!

In our new guide to writing techniques, students will have great time working through the mystery as they review the basic elements of  expository composition: construction of introductory paragraph with topic sentence, multiple paragraph compositions with supporting details, traditional structures, use of reference materials, and techniques of editing and revision.

Two out of the two writers think this play came out really well. How can you not be impressed by a statistic like that?

"Grammarosaurus" -

Six of the songs are now online for you to listen to. And for a
very limited time, I've put up the complete songs, not just the
first minute or so.

Dick, Jane, and Spot are trying hard to learn grammar, but they could use some help. Lucky for them, they run into Grammarosaurus, who teaches the kids all about singular and plural nouns, contractions, basic punctuation and capitalization, complete and incomplete sentences, and subject/verb agreement. Designed for students beginning their study of grammar, Grammarosaurus is a great introduction to and review of English language concepts.

The Fairy Tale Advice Council Returns! "Character Matters II"

No, you don't have to be familiar with our first Character Matters show to have a great time with this new play. Like the first show, this takes place at a regular meeting of the Fairy Tale Advice Council. Once again, a variety of fairy tale creatures discuss their problems and are offered advice. It's funny, the songs came out great, and honestly, we're really pleased with it.

* Where else can you learn about how Sleeping Beauty wasn't grateful to the Seven Dwarves?
* Is the Witch from Hansel and Gretel a really good neighbor? (She did try to eat them.)
* Should the Pied Piper of Hamlin "get even" with the townspeople?
* Just how polite was the Princess (from Princess and the Pea)?

Want to read the first third of the script? Listen to the first four songs?  Check it all out at Character Matters II.

Bad Wolf Doesn't Sell Plays!

Do You Have Pictures?

Do you have pictures of a Bad Wolf play that you'd like to show off to the world? We can publish them only if every child's parent has signed a release saying, "I give permission for photos of my child performing in __________ to be shown on the website and/or catalog of the play's publisher, Bad Wolf Press."

If you don't have permission for EVERYBODY in the picture, that's okay. Our graphic designer is a whiz at erasing people from photos.

Photo tips: Get close up! A photo of one, two, or three kids is more likely to be interesting than a big group shot. And set your camera to the highest resolution. (If you can send me five pictures attached to one email, then the image size is WAY too small.)
